Palestinian killed by Israeli gunfire in West Bank
34-year-old man fatally shot by Israeli army during clashes in Nablus

RAMALLAH, Palestine (AA) – A Palestinian man was killed by gunfire on Wednesday during clashes in West Bank, the Palestinian Health Ministry said.
The ministry identified the young man as Muhammad Hassan Assaf, 34, who was fatally shot in the chest by the Israeli army in the city of Nablus.
Tensions have been running high across the Palestinian territories since the beginning of April amid repeated Israeli raids to arrest “wanted” Palestinians.
Last month, at least 23 Palestinians and 14 Israelis were killed in attacks in the West Bank and Israel.
