JERUSALEM (AA) – A Palestinian man was killed and three others were arrested during a raid by Israeli forces overnight Tuesday in connection with the killing of an Israeli settler earlier this month.
The Palestinian Health Ministry said Muhammad Fiqih was killed and at least five people were injured by rubber-coated bullets during clashes in the town of Surif, near Hebron in the occupied West Bank.
The Israeli military said the man was allegedly killed in an exchange of fire and was part of a Hamas cell responsible for a shooting on July 1 that killed Michael Mark and injured his wife and children in the Israeli settlement of Otniel.
The military also released footage of the operation, including video of the house Faqih was allegedly hiding in being hit by anti-tank missiles and bulldozed.
