ANKARA (AA) – England’s Football Association on Sunday said that following surgery to remove his appendix, Phil Foden has been ruled out of the England squad of the upcoming UEFA EURO 2024 qualifier with Ukraine.
The 22-year-old will not be able to play for Manchester City in the Premier League match, which will be played against Liverpool on April 1.
The FA statement added that England head coach Gareth Southgate has not called up a replacement and that the England squad currently includes 20 players.
Foden scored 13 goals and made 6 assists in 36 games this season.
