ISTANBUL (AA) - Police are investigating three vehicle fires as a hate crime after antisemitic graffiti was discovered at the scene in the US state of Missouri, media reports said Tuesday.
Officers responded around 3 am local time (0700GMT) Tuesday in Clayton after receiving reports of vehicle fires, according to local station KSDK-TV.
The outlet reported that the three damaged vehicles belonged to the same family and appeared to have been deliberately set ablaze.
Police said they are treating the incident as a hate crime due to graffiti written on the roadway, including a text that read: "Death to the IDF."
A police spokeswoman said investigators believe a Clayton resident was specifically targeted in the attack and there is no threat to the community.
No injuries were reported in the incident, which is being investigated by local police and the FBI, according to the outlet.
