Police surround suspect in California mass shooting: Reports

ANKARA (AA) - Police have surrounded a white van they believe is linked to the gunman who opened fire at a dance club on Saturday night and left 10 people dead, according to media reports.

The white van was surrounded by at least six police and SWAT (special weapons and tactics) vehicles near Hawthorne and Sepulveda boulevards in Torrance city in California, according to Los Angeles Daily News.

It was unclear if the suspect was conscious inside the vehicle, said the daily.

“Investigators have identified him as a Homicide suspect and he should be considered armed and dangerous,” the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said in a tweet.
