Polish premier warns against policies causing civilian suffering in Gaza
Poland will never be 'on the side of politicians whose actions lead to hunger and the death of mothers and children,' says Donald Tusk

ISTANBUL (AA) - Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk on Sunday reaffirmed his country’s support for Israel in its fight against terrorism but issued a strong warning against political decisions that inflict harm on civilians in Gaza.
Poland will remain on the side of Israel in its confrontation with terrorism, "but never on the side of politicians whose actions lead to hunger and the death of mothers and children,” Tusk said on X.
He stressed that such distinctions must be clear to nations “that have jointly gone through the hell of the Second World War.”
Rejecting international calls for a ceasefire, the Israeli army has killed more than 60,400 Palestinians, most of them women and children, in Gaza since October 2023. The military campaign has destroyed the enclave, collapsed the health system and led to deaths from hunger and starvation.
