Powerful earthquake jolts southwest China
No casualties reported so far as 6.8 magnitude quake hits near Luding county, says China earthquake center

ISTANBUL (AA) - A powerful earthquake jolted southwest China on Monday afternoon.
According to China Earthquake Networks Center, the 6.8 magnitude earthquake hit near Luding county in the Ganzi Tibetan autonomous province at a depth of 16 kilometers (10 miles).
The center reported the earthquake at around 12:52 p.m. local time (04:52GMT).
Chinese public broadcaster CGTN reported that the powerful tremor was also felt by residents in Chengdu city, near Luding county.
No casualties have been reported so far.
