7.4 magnitude earthquake with depth of 9.3 kilometers hits Alaska peninsula region

ISTANBUL (AA) – A powerful earthquake hit the Alaska Peninsula region on Sunday, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
The USGS said that an earthquake of magnitude 7.4 with a depth of 9.3 kilometers (5.78 miles) hit the Alaska Peninsula region.
The US Tsunami Warning System said there is tsunami threat after the earthquake.
