MOSCOW (AA) - Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed on Friday the resumption of air travel with North Korea.
Speaking at a plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, Putin said there are now direct flights to the North Korean capital, Pyongyang, from two Russian cities -- Moscow and Vladivostok.
“The (first post-pandemic) flight on this route (Moscow-Pyongyang) took place in late July, while a month earlier, travel through train carriages between Moscow and Pyongyang had been reinstated,” Putin added.
According to him, these "landmark events" will help strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
