Real Madrid seals comfortable win over Barcelona on road to reach Copa del Rey final

Karim Benzema scores hat-trick as Los Blancos beat Barca 4-1 on aggregate

ISTANBUL (AA) - Real Madrid secured a 4-0 victory against Barcelona on Wednesday on the road to advance to the Copa del Rey final.

Los Blancos broke the deadlock with a close-range finish from Vinicius Junior in the 45th minute at Camp Nou.

Karim Benzema scored goals in the 50th, 58th and 80th minutes as he netted his second hat-trick in three days.

In Sunday's La Liga clash, Benzema scored a first-half hat-trick in the space of seven minutes, leading his club to a 6-0 win over Real Valladolid.

Real Madrid will face Osasuna in the final, which will be held at Estadio La Cartuja in Seville on May 6.

Osasuna eliminated Athletic Bilbao to return to a cup final for the first time since 2005.

Barcelona is the most successful club in Copa del Rey history with 31 titles, followed by Athletic Bilbao (23) and Real Madrid (19).
