CAIRO (AA) - At least 27 people were killed and scores injured in a road crash and a train derailment in Egypt on Wednesday.
The Health Ministry said a passenger minibus collided with a truck in western Egypt.
“Twenty two people were killed and nine others injured in the crash,” the ministry said in a statement.
Meanwhile, five people were killed when a train went off the tracks near the capital Cairo.
The ministry said 27 people were also injured in the accident in the al-Ayat area, west of Cairo.

Around 25,000 people were killed and injured in road accidents in Egypt in 2015, CAPMAS said.
