Roadside bomb explodes in SE Turkey
Suspected PKK terror attack damages military vehicle, no casualties reported

SIIRT, Turkey (AA) - A roadside bomb exploded in southeastern Turkey on Friday, security sources said.
The improvised explosive device (IED) went off when gendarmerie units were searching for mines to ensure road safety in Siirt's countryside.
The suspected PKK terror attack damaged the military vehicle; however, no military personnel was hurt.
The PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU -- has waged a terror campaign against Turkey for more than 30 years, resulting in the deaths of nearly 40,000 people, including women and children.
