Rockets edge Bulls as Alperen Sengun posts double-double

ISTANBUL (AA) – Turkish star Alperen Sengun recorded a double-double to help the Houston Rockets secure a 117-114 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Saturday.

The Rockets edged past the visiting Bulls by three points, with Sengun contributing 24 points and 15 rebounds.

Jalen Green led Houston with 28 points, while Fred VanVleet added 23 to seal the win.

For Chicago, Coby White posted 23 points and seven rebounds, but his efforts were not enough to avoid defeat.

- Westbrook reaches milestone

Denver Nuggets' Russell Westbrook surpassed 26,000 career points in the game against the Washington Wizards, becoming the 21st player to reach the milestone and only the second point guard to do so after Oscar Robertson.

Despite Westbrook's 22 points and 11 assists, along with Nikola Jokic's 40 points and 13 rebounds, the Nuggets fell short in a 126-123 loss to the Wizards.

Alex Sarr led Washington with 34 points, while Kyshawn George and Jordan Poole each scored 19 to play key roles in the victory.
