Rudy Fernandez renews contract with Real Madrid

Spanish basketballer to stay with club until June 30, 2024

ANKARA (AA) - Spanish basketballer Rudy Fernandez has renewed his contract with Real Madrid, the team announced on Tuesday.

The 38-year-old will now stay with the Spanish powerhouse until June 30, 2024.

"Rudy Fernández will play his 13th season with our team, which is experiencing one of the most brilliant periods in its history," the club said.

Fernandez has bagged three European Cups, one Intercontinental Cup, six league titles, five Spanish Cups and eight Spanish Super Cups during his 12 seasons with the Madrid side.

He also won six gold medals (2006 and 2019 World Cups and 2009, 2011, 2015 and 2022 European Cups), three silver (2008 and 2012 Olympic Games and 2007 European) and two bronze (2016 Olympic Games and 2013 European) in 247 appearances for Spain.
