Russia denies receiving any US communication on Ukraine ‘agreements’

Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova says media claims do not reflect official dialogue with Washington

ISTANBUL (AA) - Russia has not received any information from the US through official channels regarding alleged “agreements” on Ukraine mentioned in recent media reports, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Wednesday.

In an interview with Russian state news agency TASS, Zakharova said that while Moscow has followed numerous publications “describing various processes,” such reports should be assessed based on official communication rather than media narratives.

“There are official channels in the United States for resolving these issues, discussing them, and negotiating processes. These channels must be utilized,” she said.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not received any information from the American side in this context.”

The Kremlin earlier said that its stance on a potential Ukraine peace agreement has not shifted since President Vladimir Putin met US President Donald Trump in Alaska in August.

According to Axios, US special envoy Steve Witkoff and Putin envoy Kirill Dmitriev met in Miami late last month to discuss a framework to end the war in Ukraine.

The 28-point US plan, the report said, is inspired by Trump's successful push for a deal in Gaza.
