Russian, Moroccan top diplomats discuss ties, regional issues

ISTANBUL (AA) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a call Tuesday with Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita to discuss the development of relations, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry.

The conversation, initiated by Morocco, focused on “practical matters pertaining to the further enhancement of the traditionally friendly Russian-Moroccan relations across political, trade, economic, and other spheres,” it said in a statement.

Lavrov and Bourita also exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest, it added.​​​​​​​
