Saudi Arabia says Yemeni ballistic missile destroyed

RIYADH (AA) – Saudi Arabia’s air defense system has destroyed a ballistic missile fired from Yemen, local media reported on Thursday.

Saudi-owned satellite television news channel Al-Arabiya reported that the missile was fired by Houthis from Yemen and it was destroyed near the southwestern city of Khamis Mushait. It gave no further details.

The Saudi-led coalition fighting in Yemen announced a suspension of border crossing via air, marine, and land routes following a ballistic missile fired from Yemen targeting the Saudi capital Riyadh on Nov. 6.
