Serbia seeks to boost economic ties with Qatar

BELGRADE, Serbia (AA) - Serbia seeks to enhance economic cooperation with Qatar, the Serbian Trade and Tourism Ministry said on Tuesday.

Tatjana Matic, Serbia’s trade minister, and Qatari Ambassador Sheikh Mubarak Bin Fahad Al Thani met in the capital Belgrade to discuss economic cooperation between the two countries, a ministry statement said.

"The Minister and the Ambassador emphasized the great importance of signing agreements, primarily in the field of economy, trade, and technical cooperation [...] there is room for expanding trade and investment," the statement added.

It was agreed in the meeting that an agreement on cooperation in the field of tourism should be signed after the “epidemiological situation stabilizes.”​​​​​​​
