BAKU (AA) - Ten workers have been missing after an Azeri oil platform partially collapsed early Thursday during a storm in the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan's state-owned energy company SOCAR said.
About 150 meters of the platform collapsed due to high winds around 05.00 a.m. local time (0100GMT), according to a company statement.
Search and rescue teams were dispatched to the area. More information will be released later, it added.
Accidents on SOCAR oil and gas platforms due to storms in recent years have claimed dozens of lives.
