KOCAELI, Turkey (AA) – Police held 11 irregular migrants in northwestern Turkey, local authorities said on Monday.
In a statement, the provincial security directorate said police units raided an address in Kocaeli province as part of anti-human trafficking operations and caught the migrants – all Pakistani nationals.
In addition, two suspected human smugglers were nabbed in the operations.
The migrants were referred to a local migration office, while legal procedures were launched for suspected smugglers.
