BERLIN (AA) - A dozen people were injured in a knife attack at Hamburg's central train station, German police sources said on Friday evening.
According to Bild newspaper, police arrested a female suspect at the scene, though the motive remained unclear.
Emergency services swiftly responded, treating some victims inside trains at the station. Three victims were in critical condition, three others had serious injuries, and six sustained minor injuries, according to police sources.
The incident has disrupted train services at one of northern Germany's busiest transportation hubs. Local authorities are urging travelers to avoid the area during the ongoing investigation.
