HATAY, Turkey (AA) - At least 17 undocumented migrants have been held in southern Turkish province of Hatay, a security source said on Wednesday.

The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on talking to the media, said that the migrants were rounded up after they crossed into Hatay's Yayladagi district from Syria.

All the migrants were Syrian nationals, the source added.

Turkey has been a main route for migrants trying to cross into Europe, especially since the beginning of the civil war in Syria.
