MELBOURNE, Australia (AA) - Rescuers have recovered the bodies of two people after a helicopter crashed near a forest in northern New Zealand on Monday.
The helicopter is reported to have been on a forest survey northwest of the North Island town of Whangarei when its distress beacon was activated around 1 p.m. (0000GMT).
Radio New Zealand reported police as confirming that two people had been found dead at the scene.
