2 machinists killed as train derails in western Turkey

Cause of derailment is under investigation

BILECIK, Turkey (AA) – Two machinists were killed in Turkey when a train derailed in the northwestern Bilecik province on Thursday.

The train departed from the capital Ankara to control high-speed train line.

It hit the wall after derailing near Ahmetpinar village in Bozuyuk district.

The cause of the accident is yet to be known.

The train services were temporarily suspended on the line while an investigation into the cause of the derailment is underway.
