ANKARA (AA) - Two military judges in Turkey have been dismissed from their profession over their links to the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO), according to the Official Gazette.

The Military Judges Commission of Turkey's National Defense Ministry unanimously dismissed Judge Colonel Cihan Osman Celik and Air Force Judge Lieutenant Dogan Turan from their profession.

The decision was rendered after their court files were evaluated by the commission.

FETO and its US-based leader Fetullah Gulen orchestrated the defeated coup in Turkey of July 15, 2016 which left 251 people martyred and nearly 2,200 injured.

Ankara also accuses FETO of being behind a long-running campaign to overthrow the state through the infiltration of Turkish institutions, particularly the military, police and judiciary.
