2 PYD/PKK terrorists surrender to Turkish authorities

More than 800 people also detained while trying to enter Turkey from Syria, according to Turkish military

ANKARA (AA) - Two PYD/PKK terrorists have surrendered to security forces in Turkey's southeastern Mardin province, the Turkish army announced on Tuesday.

According to the Turkish General Staff’s website, the terrorists surrendered in Mardin's Kiziltepe district.

It also said that 804 people had been detained when they tried to enter Turkey from Syria, while another 19 were arrested while trying to enter Syrian territory from Turkey.

The military went on to say that 17 more people had been arrested when they attempted to enter Turkey from Iraq; another 26 were detained as they tried to cross into Turkey from Greece.

Another 16 were detained when they tried to enter Greece illegally from Turkey, it added.
