ADANA, Turkey (AA) – At least twenty people suspected of having links to Daesh were detained Thursday in an anti-terror operation in the southern province of Adana, a police source said.
Police raided an address in Seyhan district of Adana and seized several documents and digital files from the suspects, as well as a large amount of ammunition, according to the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on talking to the media.
Work is underway to capture five other suspects, the source added.
More than 100 suspected Daesh terrorists were arrested in Turkey in June, according to figures compiled from law enforcement agency records.
Daesh has carried out several suicide attacks in Turkey since 2015.
