Law enforcers arrest 7 people allegedly involved in illegal coal mining

ANKARA (AA) – All 20 people who were trapped in an illegal coal mine in China's Shanxi province due to flooding, had been rescued, local media reported on Friday.

The accident took place at 11 p.m. local time (1500 GMT) on Wednesday in the Duxigou Village, where 20 people were working underground for illegal mining, state-run Xinhua News Agency reported.

According to China Daily, rescuer teams saved 20 trapped workers and transported them to hospitals.

Meanwhile, seven people accused of being involved in the illegal business have been arrested.
