Police suspect infants were killed by organ mafia or used for superstition-based rituals

DAKAR (AA) – Police in Ivory Coast have discovered the bodies of 25 infants at a cemetery, local reports said Friday.

The grisly find was made in Gagnoa city, some 230 kilometers (143 miles) from Abidjan, the country’s largest city.

After being informed about the incident, police rushed to the location and found the infant corpses wrapped in black sachets.

Security authorities immediately launched an investigation. Local reports suggest the infants might have been used by a network dealing in human body parts or for voodoo-linked rituals.
