SIIRT, Turkey (AA) – Three bodies were received late Thursday after a copper mine collapsed in Turkey's southeastern province of Siirt, the governorate said in a statement.
Rescue teams are working to reach miners trapped under the collapsed mine in the Sirvan district, according to the statement that said the collapse occurred because of a landslide.
"More search and rescue teams have been asked to join the efforts in nearby cities," the statement added.
