ISTANBUL (AA) - Three people were killed and several others wounded Sunday in an explosion that targeted a police station in the city of Al-Mayadin, located in Syria’s eastern Deir ez-Zor province, according to the state-run Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).
Citing an unnamed local source in the Deir ez-Zor countryside, the agency reported that the blast was believed to have been caused by a car bomb.
The source said the explosion resulted in three deaths and a number of injuries. No further details were provided.
The circumstances of the attack remain unclear, and no group has claimed responsibility so far.
