NEW DELHI (AA) - At least three people were killed and many injured in a stampede in India’s Odisha state.
The Press Trust of India reported the deaths and said 50 others were injured when hundreds of devotees gathered near a temple in Puri.
Siddharth S. Swain, a top official, said the incident took place around 4 am local time.
“The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital, and the condition of six people is critical,” he said.
