34 irregular migrants held in central Turkey

Among group of Afghans in central Eskisehir province were 12 children and 6 women

ESKISEHIR, Turkey (AA) – A group of 34 Afghan irregular migrants was held in central Turkey, according to a statement by the provincial gendarmerie command on Saturday.

Gendarmerie trafficking and organized crime units in the Eskisehir province learned a group of foreign nationals were waiting in Dutluca in the Inonu district after illegally entering Turkey, said the statement.

Dispatched to the area, the units found 34 Afghan individuals, including six women and 12 children, who were left in the province by human traffickers, it added.

The Afghan nationals were taken to the local migration office for processing and deportation.
