ANKARA (AA) - At least 36 people have been arrested during anti-drug operations across Turkey, security sources said on Monday.
Security forces conducted operations in Gaziantep, Eskisehir, Trabzon, and Tekirdag.
Eight suspects were arrested during an anti-narcotics operation in the southern Turkish province of Gaziantep said the provincial security office in a statement.
In the Black Sea province of Trabzon,15 were arrested, said another source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity due to restrictions on speaking to the media.
Seven people were also rounded up in Eskisehir, a central Anatolian province. Security forces also seized different kinds of drugs including heroin and pills.
In Tekirdag, a province near Istanbul, police forces arrested six suspects.
