BELGRADE, Serbia (AA) - A fire in the southwestern Serbian city of Novi Pazar killed four children and injured their parents, police said on Sunday.
The fire broke out early morning in one of the apartments in a residential building.
Police said firefighters arrived at the scene minutes after being alerted, but could not save the children who apparently died of carbon monoxide poisoning.
The parents were in another room and were hospitalized with burn injuries.
It was not immediately clear what caused the blaze.
