ANKARA (AA) - Security forces arrested 49 PKK/KCK terror suspects across Turkey including a Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) provincial head on Saturday, the Interior Ministry said.
In a statement, the ministry said the arrests were made in capital Ankara as well as the country’s southeastern Batman, Agri, Mus, Mardin and Sanliurfa provinces.
One of the suspects was Batman chief of the HDP Nizamettin Toguc, the statement said.
Security forces have arrested a total of 137 PKK/KCK suspects in operations in the last two days.
