A 5.2 magnitude earthquake jolted the Xinjiang region of northwestern China early on Wednesday, according to state-run media.
The earthquake struck the Tajik Autonomous County of Taxkorgan at 3.17 am local time (1917GMT Tuesday), Xinhua News reported, citing the China Earthquake Networks Center.
The epicenter was located at 37.58N and 74.93E at a depth of 10 kilometers (6.2 miles).
Local officials said no casualties or damage were reported as of 4.30 am GMT, while transportation, power and communications were unaffected.
