ANKARA (AA) - At least five suspects were arrested on Friday in two Turkish provinces for suspected links to terrorist groups, according to a security source.
In southern Sanliurfa province's Suruc district, security forces rounded up a terrorist when he tried to reach Turkey using an illegal route, the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on talking to the media, said.
Separately, four suspects were arrested for alleged links with the PKK/KCK terrorist organizations in Yuksekova district of southeastern Hakkari province, according to a gendarmerie source.
The source added the gendarmerie also seized 400 grams of heroin during the raid.
