ANKARA (AA) - Five terrorists, including one on Turkey's official wanted list, surrendered to Turkish security forces in the southeastern Sirnak province, the Interior Ministry said on Thursday.
Four of the terrorists were convinced to give up, while the other surrendered himself, the ministry said in a statement.
Among the terrorists was one who was on the Interior Ministry's wanted list with a bounty of 300,000 Turkish liras ($52,500) on his head, according to the statement.
In its more than 30-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU -- has been responsible for the deaths of nearly 40,000 people, including women, children, and infants.
