ISLAMABAD (AA) - A powerful 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck Indonesia's Sumatra Island on Friday.
The quake hit southwest of the island at a depth of 10 kilometers (6 miles) at 0431GMT, according to the German Research Center for Geosciences (GEOFON).
There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
