ISTANBUL (AA) - A 6.8 magnitude earthquake hit Taiwan on Monday morning.
According to the island nation's Central Weather Bureau (CWB), the earthquake hit Hualien County in eastern Taiwan.
No reports of any damage were received from anywhere on the island after the earthquake.
The bureau said the quake's epicenter was located 37.7 kilometers (23 miles) south-southwest of Hualien County at a depth of 6.8 kilometers (4.2 miles).
