9 Palestinians detained in Israeli raids

RAMALLAH, Palestine (AA) – Six Palestinians were wounded Tuesday in Israeli military raids in the occupied West Bank, according to witnesses.

Israeli forces raided the Dheisheh refugee camp, triggering clashes with local residents, during which Israeli soldiers used live fire, rubber-coated bullets, and tear gas canisters, witnesses said.

Three Palestinians were injured, including one critically, the Voice of Palestine radio station reported.

Seven Palestinians, including a woman, were reportedly detained during the raid.

Meanwhile, three Palestinians were injured in clashes with Israeli forces in a military raid in the towns of Kufr Nimeh and Beit Liqya, west of Ramallah, the state news agency Wafa reported.

Two Palestinians were also taken into Israeli custody.

There was no comment from the Israeli military on the raids.

Tensions have been running high across the occupied West Bank in recent months amid repeated Israeli raids ofPalestinian towns.

More than 90 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire since the start of this year, according to Palestinian figures. Fourteen Israelis have also been killed in separate attacks during the same period.
