BOGOTA, Colombia (AA) - Seven people were killed in a shootout between security forces and suspected robbers in Brazil's Goias state on Wednesday, Xinhua news reported.
Police carried out an operation in the town of Nova Gama after receiving a tip-off that a gang was planning a heist.
Seven gang members were killed during the exchange of gunfire, while five people fled the scene who are being sought by the police.
A large number of weapons, explosives, and four stolen cars were also seized.
