Taliban claim responsibility for attack in Afghan capital

KABUL, Afghanistan (AA) - At least four Afghan policemen were killed in a suicide bombing in the capital Kabul on Tuesday, an official said.

Najib Danish, spokesman for the Ministry of Interior, told Anadolu Agency a suicide attacker targeted a police convoy in the capital Paghman valley.

Danish said that four policemen were killed, while six more wounded in the attack.

The Taliban have taken responsibility for the attack.

In a statement, Zabihullah Mujahed, the Taliban spokesman, claimed 23 Afghan and US forces have been killed in this attack in Paghman.

On Nov. 29, the Afghan capital was rocked by a Taliban-claimed suicide attack followed by gunfire, claiming the lives of at least 10 people.

The offices of a private security services firm, G4S, working for British troops was targeted on the main Kabul-Jalalabad highway.
