IDLIB, Syria (AA) - An Anadolu Agency freelancer was injured in Syria's northwestern Afrin on Friday when a landmine went off close by.
Ali Halabi sustained shrapnel wounds in his back and hands. His injuries were not life threatening.
He was brought to Kirikhan State Hospital in Turkey's Hatay province across the Syrian border.
Halebi was covering Turkey's Operation Olive Branch launched on Jan. 20 to clear YPG/PKK-Daesh terrorists from Afrin.
Waleed Rasheed, another Anadolu Agency freelancer who was also injured in Afrin on Feb. 7, is still receiving treatment.
Anadolu Agency staff Sarp Ozer was injured while covering the operation on Feb. 2 in a rocket and mortar attack.
