Anadolu Agency renews cooperation deal with India's PTI

Press Trust of India and Anadolu Agency to share news stories, photos and videos

ANKARA (AA) - Anadolu Agency and India's Press Trust of India (PTI) have renewed their cooperation agreement.

The deal was signed by Anadolu Agency Chairman and Director General Senol Kazanci and PTI Director General Vijay Joshi during President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's visit to India between April 30 and May 1.

According to the deal which came into effect on Tuesday, the two agencies will be able to share each other's media content including English news stories, videos and photographs.

The two agencies will also cooperate in the areas of occupational training, and monitoring and reporting on visits of respective heads of state and government, and official delegations.

The new agreement, which will remain in effect for one year and automatically renewed at the end of each term unless notified otherwise, replaces the deal signed in 2010.
