ANKARA (AA) - Anadolu Agency on Monday renewed a cooperation deal with the Cuban official news agency Prensa Latina.
Metin Mutanoglu, the deputy director-general of Anadolu Agency, and Luis Enrique Gonzalez Acosta, the head of Prensa Latina, inked the deal at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2018.
According to the deal, the two agencies will exchange news in Spanish, English, Russian and French languages, and a limited number of photographs and videos.
Mutanoglu said Anadolu Agency had begun its Spanish service, as it was the second most widely spoken language globally in 2017.
He added that cooperation with Prensa Latina would largely contribute to news and visual feed between Turkey and Cuba, and Latin America and the world.
He added that choosing Colombia's capital Bogota as the headquarters of the Spanish service reflected the importance Turkey gives to its relations with the Latin American countries.
