SARAJEVO, Bosnia-Herzegovina (AA) - Anadolu Agency on Wednesday said it would support a Bosnian news agency's membership application to a European media body.
Speaking to journalists in Bosnia's capital Sarajevo, Anadolu Agency Deputy Director General and Editor-in-Chief Metin Mutanoglu said he would vote for the Federal News Agency (FENA) at a European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA) meeting scheduled for Belgrade on Thursday.
FENA, which was established in 2000, publishes around 250 news reports daily in Bosnia’s official languages and in English.
The EANA is a non-profit organization founded in 1956. Anadolu Agency is a founding member of the alliance, having the right to vote on membership applications.
