ISTANBUL (AA) - Anadolu Agency is here with a rundown of the latest developments around the world.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held talks with fellow leaders attending the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.

Erdogan visited newly built areas of the city together with other summit participants.

He spoke with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, Iranian counterpart Ebrahim Raisi, Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev, Tajik counterpart Emomali Rahmon, Belarusian counterpart Aleksandr Lukashenko and other leaders in the Eternal City.

Putin also met with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping on Thursday on the sidelines of the SCO summit.

Russia’s natural gas exports to EU countries this year are estimated to drop by 50 billion cubic meters, said Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s car was involved in a traffic accident in the capital Kyiv, but he was not seriously hurt.

Seventy-one Azerbaijani soldiers have been killed in recent days in "provocations" by Armenia, said Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry.

Armenia's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced Wednesday that 105 Armenian soldiers were killed in the clashes.

Magdalena Andersson, Sweden's outgoing prime minister and leader of the Social Democrats, formally resigned after conceding defeat in a knife-edge election.

Two busloads of migrants from the US state of Texas were dropped off in front of the house of Vice President Kamala Harris in Washington, D.C., according to videos and multiple reports.
