Anadolu, Sony officials explore opportunities for cooperation

Oguz Enis Peru, Anadolu's chief operating officer, meets with senior representatives of electronics giant Sony in Tokyo

TOKYO / ISTANBUL (AA) – A top official of Türkiye's international news agency Anadolu and high-level representatives from electronics giant Sony met on Saturday and discussed cooperation opportunities.

Oguz Enis Peru, Anadolu’s chief operating officer, met with Yuri Karasaki, the general manager of Sony Electronics' Creator Support Division, and other senior executives in Japan's capital Tokyo.

During the meeting, they discussed Anadolu's regional and global activities and Sony's work in media technologies.

The vision of the future of Anadolu’s AA Technology division and potential collaboration opportunities between the parties were also discussed.

The officials also discussed partnerships for the Istanbul Photo Awards, Anadolu's international photography competition.

Peru thanked Sony for its support in 2024 and highlighted the importance of photography and camera technologies in global journalism.

Sony executives also stressed that they closely follow Anadolu's global activities and value their collaboration with the agency.

During the meeting, the Sony executives were presented with a special book commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Istanbul Photo Awards.
